Zusammenfassung

The energy transition will require many minerals, and the greenhouse gas reduction benefits will be important. At the same time, old toxic metals such as lead are still causing serious health problems due to inadequate remediation. And new metals, such as cobalt, are putting miners and communities in Africa at risk. The two guest lectures address these issues.
