Toxic Metals Symposium Munich

Serious health problems are caused by toxic metals such as lead, mercury, arsenic and others. There is increasing evidence that even at low levels of exposure, the burden of disease from cancer to cognitive and cardiovascular disorders warrants serious attention. There is a need to reduce human exposure to toxic metals, especially in low- and middle-income countries.

This symposium will address the issues of environmental and human biomonitoring, risk assessment and risk mitigation. The event is organized by the Institute and Clinic for Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine at the University Hospital, LMU Munich and the Collegium Ramazzini.
