Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) – Brazil
The ‘Universidade Federal do Paraná’ (UFPR) is the oldest university in Brazil, founded in 1912, in Curitiba, as ‘Universidade do Paraná’. The historic building was chosen by the population as a symbol of the capital of Paraná State. With more than 40,000 students enrolled in over 143 undergraduate and 90 graduate degrees, UFPR is one of Brazil’s largest and most prestigious universities. Our commitment to social responsibility is reflected in our racial and social inclusion policies, in addition to our efforts to promote social and educational equity. Best of all: as a public university in Brazil, all academic activities are tuition free. UFPR offers bachelor, doctoral, and master’s degree programs in all areas of knowledge. We also provide professional training and programs in medicine, multi health professions, and veterinary medicine residency programs. Nine of our campuses are in Curitiba, the capital of Paraná State in southern Brazil, where you will find a vibrant cultural environment and a temperate climate. Other 5 campuses are scattered throughout the state of Paraná, including the coastal area. UFPR also has 4 experimental farms and 4 Hospital units.
