‘Every human cell has a sex and every person is gendered’ (Eleanor Fish). There is a growing awareness of the implication of gender on several areas of our everyday lives. Current research suggests that the prevention, and management of common ailments requires a consideration of the individuals’ sex.
The aim with this symposium was to highlight the implications of gender on various aspects of human health including occupational and reproductive health as well as infectious disease and vaccination.
