The symposium is intended for students, scientists, researchers, medical professionals, and policy makers and aims to provide an international and interdisciplinary platform for a discussion that focuses on a One Health approach to fight against NTD’s. It will be composed of four distinct talks covering topics that range from the global burden of disease, the main challenges related to the control and elimination of NTDs, and how One Health interventions have been used in countries such as Mozambique and Kenya to control NTDs like Neurocysticercosis and Trachoma, respectively. Two panel discussions will also be held, where participants will be able to interact with highly experienced speakers and amongst each other.

• Prof. Emilia Noormahomed will talk about "One health actions needed to address NTDs: the Case of Neurocysticercosis"
• Dr. Mary Asiyo-Vogel will talk about "The success of One Health interventions in the fight against Trachoma in Kenya"
