Summerschool
7th Vertigo Summer School 2021:
until further notice cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemia
supported by European Dizzynet
Scheduled tentatively for the week from 12th to 17th July 2021, in case of brisk demand possibly earlier.
Programm and general information:
In the morning the participants (max. 6 persons) will visit in the DSGZ outpatient clinic (bedside teaching including supervision by a board-certificated senior physician), the neuroophthalmology lab (neuroorthoptics), and the different neurophysiology labs of the DSGZ (VOG/calorics/HITs, gait analysis/posturography, o/cVEMPs/AEP). In the afternoon hands-on teaching courses (on the clinical and neurophysiological tools) will be offered (anatomy and clinical examination, neuroophthalmology including SVV and fundus photography, VOG/calorics/HITs, gait analysis and posturography, VEMPs/AEP). The course language will be English.
Due to the limited space in the DSGZ outpatient clinic, we are unfortunately not able to serve food, but there are restaurants/coffeshops nearby in the main building. Mineral water and coffee is always available in the DSGZ.
On 9./10. July 2021 the "VERTIGO 2021“ meeting will take place. This meeting is for medical doctors interested in neuro-otology and neuroopthalmology to update and deepen their insights in central and peripheral vertigo syndromes, ocular motor and gait disorders. This conference with clinically-orientated talks and teaching courses is higly recommended to participants of the Vertigo Summer School that are able to understand German. If there are enough interested participants, we will try to offer teaching courses in English.
Attendance fee: 850€
