Teaching at the LMU Clinic
Every year, around 900 students begin their pre-clinical and around 550 their clinical studies in human medicine at the LMU Faculty of Medicine. There are currently around 7,000 students enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine, including around 1,700 from abroad. Providing them with a good, practical and comprehensive education is an important concern for the doctors at the hospital. A representative of the faculty, who is a member of the hospital board, ensures smooth and continuous contact between the faculty and the hospital.
Institute for Didactics and Educational Research in Medicine
The Institute is involved in medical subject didactics and empirical educational research projects on medical training and continuing education. This is done in particular in cooperation with the Munich Center of the Learning Sciences and colleagues from psychology, educational science, other subject didactics and general university didactics.
Medical Curriculum Munich - MeCuM
The new ÄAppO required new study regulations for the study of human medicine at the Medical Faculty of the LMU Munich. A commission appointed by the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Medicine has developed a concept for a new medical curriculum at LMU Munich (MeCuMLMU), according to which the new ÄAppO will be implemented by the faculty.

Doctoral positions
