The annual report of the LMU Munich Hospital and Faculty of Medicine was published once a year until 2017. It contained information about medicine, nursing, administration, research and teaching - in facts and figures as well as in detailed reports.

The close links between the hospital and the Faculty of Medicine at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München are a model for success. In national and international rankings, the LMU Faculty of Medicine consistently occupies top positions in terms of publications, patents and teaching results. The LMU University Hospital was founded in 1826 by King Ludwig I as the first Bavarian university hospital and is today one of the most renowned institutions for patient care, medical student training and medical research in Europe. With 2,062 beds, it is one of the largest and, with 48 clinics, departments and institutes as well as 53 interdisciplinary centers, one of the most highly specialized hospitals in Germany.
