Our ambassadors
Former professional footballer Sandro Wagner became a new sponsor for the New Hauner in May 2023. Sandro Wagner visited Professor Dr. med. Andreas Flemmer's premature baby ward back in July.
"The LMU Hospital is a very special place for me - after all, I was born here myself," says Sandro Wagner. The former professional footballer and current U-20 co-national coach is now the sponsor of the new Hauner building. "We visited the neonatology department and it is very moving to see how children are helped here who don't have it so easy at the beginning. From the discussions with the experts responsible at the LMU Clinic, I realized the urgent need for this new building so that interdisciplinary cooperation can be expanded even further." "It is my personal wish to do everything I can to ensure that we can offer our children a world worth living in and loving. I share this wish with all the employees of the Dr. von Hauner Children's Hospital. I am very happy to support the project to create a place in the New Hauner where children and young people receive the best treatment and loving, patient care. Because the health of our children deserves every effort."
Prof. Dr. Claus Hipp (born 1938), painter, musician, art professor and head of the family business HiPP, the world's largest manufacturer of organic baby food.
"One of my tasks as a board member of an energy company is to deal intensively with securing our energy supply. This is about our future, about basic supplies for future generations. The great planning of the New Hauner is an equally important part of our basic supply. This is also about securing the future of our society. This project is of outstanding importance for the best possible care of children in Bavaria. That's why it deserves every support."

With the construction of the New Hauner, we have the opportunity to not only maintain this top level in the field of pediatric medicine, but to further expand it."

And how important it is for them to have competent contacts, that there are parents' rooms where they can be with their child around the clock. I know from my own experience that the worries about a sick child always remain the same - no matter how old it is. That's why I'm committed to the New Hauner. Because it gives affected parents and children the security they need in their difficult situation."
Karin Fahrenschon, business graduate, amateur photographer and patron of the "FrühStart ins Leben" association at LMU Klinikum München and mother of two children.
"Giving people the security they need every day is a matter of course for us as an insurance company. It is particularly important to me to stand up for the youngest members of our society. Our children need our protection the most and excellent medical care is an invaluable and important contribution to global social coexistence."

"The basis for successful pediatric medicine is research and innovation."

Since its foundation, the Hauner Children's Hospital has not only offered the highest medical quality, but also a caring and warm atmosphere for children and their families. I therefore invite everyone to participate in this project of cutting-edge medicine for children."

"I have been loyal to my employer BMW since 1988 - from sales consultant at BMW in Frankfurt a. M. to my current position as Director of Sales South and thus head of the largest branch in Germany, which is a great honor for me. I always emphasize that in addition to a passion for the brand and the product, you also have to have a lot of empathy - you simply have to like people. We attach great importance to our young talent: this year, I was once again able to welcome 100 young people who we are supporting as part of an apprenticeship - children are our future! That's why I'm happy to support the New Hauner, which is committed to the health of the very youngest."

"As a Bavarian with Greek roots, the well-being of the next generation and the generation after that is particularly close to my heart, because that is what a society is built on. That's why I have been supporting the New Hauner for a long time and with all my heart."

I perhaps experience the joy of being able to manage a company in the sixth generation particularly intensely because I was able to experience a carefree childhood and was always surrounded by a lot of love and care. I therefore very much welcome and support Neuer Hauner's approach of not only being at the cutting edge of medicine, but also providing a warm, family atmosphere."

"Charity and the motivation to stand up for others are among the most important basic attitudes of a Christian life. Children are often the weakest members of society. It should therefore be a concern of all of us that we stand up for them. The new Hauner cares in a very special way for the health and well-being of even the very youngest children and thus stands for values that are very close to my heart, both personally and in my role as a representative of the Catholic Church."
