Science and research
Research for the medicine of tomorrow!
LMU University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine offer excellent conditions for an academic career in medicine. As one of the leading faculties in Germany and a member of all eight German Centers for Health Research, we provide important impulses across the entire spectrum of university medicine.
With our Medical & Clinician Scientist Program (MCSP), we support researching physicians and non-physician scientists in combining clinical and scientific work.
The Clinical Studies Unit/CSC is the central point of contact for all aspects of clinical research. As an expertise and training center, it supports clinicians and researchers, initiatives of the Executive Board and promotes communication with all relevant interfaces.
Thanks to the strong network on the Medical and Life Science Campus Großhadern/Martinsried, ERC grants and international partnerships, we offer an ideal platform for forward-looking science. LMU is part of the "Munich Cluster for Systems Neurology" and leads several DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centers as well as numerous European and Bavarian projects.
