28 specialist clinics, thirteen institutes and seven departments - almost all disciplines of the LMU Klinikum are represented at the Großhadern campus and work together on an interdisciplinary basis.
In 2014, the new surgical center opened with 32 state-of-the-art operating theatres, a central emergency room, an outpatient surgical center and a central sterile supply unit.

The Heart Clinic at the Augustinum is a cooperation between the LMU Klinikum and the Stiftsklinik Augustinum of the Evangelisches Sozialwerk Augustinum with approx. 800 surgical interventions per year by the LMU - Cardiac Surgery and Anaesthesia.
