Information about Ukrainian patients
Treatment of Ukrainian patients
The LMU Klinikum is happy to treat patients who have fled from Ukraine. This requires a treatment certificate for cost coverage by the government of Upper Bavaria. You will receive this after official registration for medically necessary treatments.
Brief intervention program
Many refugees from Ukraine are increasingly burdened by current events, personal experiences and worries about their families. The Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the LMU Klinikum has developed a brief intervention program for dealing with stress and anxiety for people who have experienced flight. The work is carried out with language mediators or interpreters or directly if the helpers speak Ukrainian or Russian. The training program takes place via learning video. The training program is aimed at volunteers in training or with a degree from the healthcare sector (doctors of all disciplines, psychologists, social pedagogues, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, physiotherapists, public health departments) who need this intervention for their own work with people with refugee experience. The training material is available in German and Ukrainian.

Migration outpatient clinic
The Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the LMU Klinikum offers its own consultation hours for people with a migration background or experience of flight. Here we can provide further care for people with pre-existing mental illnesses and offer support in cases of acute psychosocial stress.
