The Clinical Ethics Committee offers support for ethical issues relating to patient care throughout Munich University Hospital. The main aim of the CEC is to promote ethical reflection on treatment decisions. It also aims to support communication on ethical issues in everyday clinical practice between patients, relatives and all professional groups and disciplines involved in patient care.
The committee's tasks include the moderation of ethical case discussions, further training in clinical ethics for employees and the development of ethical recommendations for patient care.
