The Medical Technology and IT (MIT) department is responsible for managing the procurement of information technology and medical technology infrastructure for the University of Munich Hospital. Ensuring the operation of this infrastructure and handling information processing for patient care, research and teaching reflects the core business of the range of services.

This is done on behalf of the Executive Board of the LMU Hospital for the hospital and the facilities of the Medical Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
