Donors, sponsors, philanthropists and patrons support the LMU Klinikum in many different ways. They donate to specific scientific projects, support purchases for patient care that cannot be financed by grants from the Free State or cost bearers, or they specifically promote further education and training for employees. Many a grateful patient has also left works of art or real estate to the hospital. This fantastic civic commitment enables the LMU Clinic to accelerate innovations in therapy, improve medical care or simply create a better atmosphere in the hospital for the more than 500,000 patients who come to our care every year. We have set up the LMU Hospital Endowment Fund for donations and contributions of this kind. Construction of the new children's hospital at the Großhadern campus is progressing. Donations from private individuals, institutions and companies are an important pillar in making Europe's most modern children's hospital suitable for children and families.
