Back in 1st place for the anniversary
This year's run was not only a sporting highlight, but also a very special anniversary event, as the two millionth participant in the history of the B2Run was among the runners.
It is particularly pleasing that the LMU Klinikum team was able to secure 1st place in the mixed classification, as in the previous year. With a total time of 1 hour, 35 minutes and 24 seconds, the five fastest hospital runners Clemens Bleistein, Patrick Oehler, Yuntao Hao, Helen Graf and Elisabeth Haas Lützenberger beat Wacker Chemie AG (2nd place with 1:41:12) and the City of Munich (3rd place with 1:43:53).
Clemens Bleistein from the Medical Clinic V was the first runner from the LMU Clinic to cross the finish line in an impressive 17 minutes and 10 seconds. This put him just a single second behind the fastest runner of the B2Run 2025 and put him in 2nd place overall out of a total of 35,985 participants. Helen Graf from Anaesthesiology followed in 19:55 minutes, making her the second-fastest runner of all the women taking part this year. Helen Graf achieved an impressive 52nd place in the overall ranking. Renate Sailer also showed great stamina during the run and was the first manager from the Patient Management department to cross the finish line. With a time of 26:10 minutes, she took 30th place among the participants from the LMU Clinic.
All other running results can be found on the official B2Run 2025 website.
Stronger as a team
Martina Bayerl, who has been coordinating the event with great dedication since 2009, once again ensured smooth organization this year. She was supported by Tania Lilier and Günter Moser. At the checkpoint in the middle of the course, the team provided loud support and cheered on all LMU Klinikum runners with full energy. Whether as baggage attendants, motivational coaches at the edge of the course or simply as good spirits in the background - the commitment of the supporting helpers was once again indispensable. Hospital photographer Laurent Soussana also accompanied the arrival, start and finish as usual. A selection of his best impressions:
