Sebastian Kobold has been appointed as a Scout for the Henriette Herz-Scouting Program. In this role, he will identify and recommend outstanding postdoctoral and independent junior researchers worldwide, who have a keen interest in immunology and immuno-oncology for AvH fellowships. The project will be conducted from 2027 at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, in the vibrant city of Munich.
The program seeks to attract highly skilled junior researchers from abroad, thereby enriching scientific collaborations with German laboratories. It fosters innovative perspectives and diverse methodologies to drive substantial advancements in research.
Profile of candidates: You are a postdoctoral researcher with an outstanding track record and obtained a doctoral degree within the last 12 years. As a non-German national, you have not studied, earned a doctorate, or spent research periods in Germany before. This fellowship represents your first opportunity for funding from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, granting you access to the international alumni network of Humboldtian scientists. We particularly encourage women to apply for this fellowship to support the advancement of women in scientific careers.
Funding: The selected candidate will be awarded a scholarship lasting between 6 to 24 months, tailored to the specific project and career level. The scholarship includes a net monthly salary of €3,000 to €3,600, along with €800 monthly to cover laboratory expenses. Additional benefits comprise a mobility allowance for up to three international visits, comprehensive health and social insurance coverage, and the possibility of an extra allowance based on family circumstances.
