Vaccine development

The focus of the research group is on researching new vaccines and new vaccine principles: In particular, it is dedicated to the development of messenger RNA vaccines (mRNA) in a long-standing cooperation with the company CureVac.

The Tropical Institute regularly conducts vaccine studies, for example in the areas of COVID-19, dengue and rabies.
