Besides medical doctors from organizations like Medicines Sans Frontiers, Ärzte der Welt and the International Committee of the Red Cross, who shared their experiences on field work in crises areas, the audience could listen to the presentation of mobile health services provided by the NGO "Humedica", insides from the Federal ministry of health in Sudan and the expertise of a Global Rehabilitation Specialist. Apart from shared medical expertise, it was the touching images of a photographer/journalist and a pediatrician that brought the symposium to life and exposed realities that were harrowing and unsparing and yet indispensable for understanding the true extent of humanitarian crises.

In addition to the presentations and engaging panel discussions, the symposium featured an exhibition space where various humanitarian organizations showcased their work. Participants had the opportunity to learn about ongoing initiatives and meet representatives from leading NGOs, aid organizations and interest groups. The provided space was used for socializing, networking, and inspired new approaches to humanitarian challenges.
