Highlights from the 2025 Union World Conference on Lung Health in Copenhagen

Annual Conference by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease - The Union
Various researchers from our institute had the opportunity to contribute to the 2025 Union World Conference on Lung Health and to share their work with the international community. The world's largest conference on lung health took place from 18 to 21 November 2025 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark.

This year's Union Conference featured a keynote by the award-winning, bestselling author, YouTuber and global health advocate, John Green ("Everything is Tuberculosis") and special guest Henry Reider - a TB survivor and the inspiration behind John Green's book.

Several colleagues from the Institute of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at LMU University Hospital Munich, along with affiliated researchers, contributed to the congress by sharing their expertise on tuberculosis and lung health research in the following sessions, among others:
