1st POKAL promotion achieved!

In autumn 2021, the DFG Research Training Group POKAL ("Predictors and Clinical Outcomes of Depressive Disorders in Primary Care, DFG-GRK 2621) launched an innovative research and training program at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The aim was and is to enable general practitioners to provide better care for patients with depression.

After three years, the first cohort of the Research Training Group with 16 doctoral students has now completed a total of 9 projects in the areas of diagnostics, treatment and implementation aids and submitted the associated dissertations. The oral disputations are now pending: Jonas Raub, assistant doctor in training, kicked things off today (Thursday) by successfully defending his doctoral thesis, giving him every reason to celebrate! The other doctoral candidates will follow in the next few weeks.
