Practical year
As part of the practical year, it is possible to complete a tertial in the designated PJ teaching practices. These are a small number of academic teaching practices that are particularly suitable in terms of didactics and equipment. Experience has shown that PJ students are very well integrated into everyday practice and benefit from individual support and particularly practice-relevant training.
You can find a selection of possible regions here:
The complete list of all teaching practices active in the PJ can be found here.
A PJ tertial in general medicine is characterized by particularly close contact with the doctors and close cooperation in a constant team that has usually been established for some time. In order to benefit from the best possible learning atmosphere, it is therefore advantageous to get to know the practices in advance.
Important:
The deadlines for submitting a letter of recommendation or confirmation of a place in your chosen teaching practice can be found on the PJ Coordination homepage(usually a few weeks before the start of the regular booking phase). If you are unable to meet this deadline, you have the option of submitting a hardship application. You can also find all information on this on the Homepage of the PJ Coordination.
It is not possible to complete the PJ General Medicine abroad.
As an additional teaching offer during your PJ in General Practice, students are cordially invited to take part in the seminars of the GP 360° training program of the Institute of General Practice. You can find a list of the current dates here.
Practices can be booked via the PJ portal.
Funding of up to 2,400 euros for your PJ tertial in general practice is possible, for example, through the Bavarian General Practitioners' Association's support for young doctors. More information: https://www.hausaerzte-bayern.de/index.php/nachwuchs/foerderung
