The humanist and general practitioner Dr. Ulf Schelling has been committed to his patients and general medicine throughout his life. Born in Tübingen, he opened his first medical practice in a former farm in Martinsried in 1980, fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a country doctor. This practice is still in family hands today and has continued to grow. He has passed on his enthusiasm for this profession to thousands of medical students in countless lectures and seminars as a lecturer at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich since the 1990s.
Dr. Ulf Schelling passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 77. We have lost an inspiring clinician and empathetic teacher. Our condolences go above all to his family.
