The 2022 vaccination summit: inform, communicate and activate - but do it right!

At the third "Vaccination Summit" organized by the Tagesspiegel publishing house, it became clear that vaccinations as a measure of primary prevention must be brought even more to the attention of the public in the future and that barriers to vaccination must be removed.
Linda Sanftenberg, among others, was invited to speak on the topic of "Vaccination communication": In order to remove existing barriers to vaccination, patient-oriented and multi-level communication between patients and GP practice teams is needed, among other things, which should ideally be supported by digital vaccination management systems with a reminder function. The Institute of General Practice is now an alliance partner in the "National Vaccination Action Alliance" (headed by Prof. Heidrun Thaiss). This has set itself the goal of increasing vaccination rates and using the current attention for vaccinations against COVID-19 to bundle all existing forces, institutions and committees and improve the acceptance of vaccinations beyond the corona pandemic.
