Is medical care for patients in Germany fair? And what does justice mean in medicine - for example, that all patients should receive exactly the same care? What influence does social inequality have on medical care? How can existentially threatening risks be borne in solidarity and at the same time give the individual as much freedom of choice and the best possible care as possible? These are the topics of the lecture by Prof. Dr. Sawicki, Duisburg (first head of the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care). Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Sylvia Sänger (SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit, Gera) and retired President Manfred Kock will discuss these questions with the participants.
