Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects around 2-3% of adults. As GPs, we are often the first point of contact for adults with ADHD. Due to long waiting times for specialist diagnosis and treatment, care is often provided exclusively by GPs.
How can we best help adult ADHD patients? With medication? With psychotherapy? Can structured support from a GP practice team have a positive effect?
A new pilot study on ADHD in adults will start at the beginning of 2024 and will be funded by WiFoMed e.V. (Association for the Promotion of Science and Research at the Medical Faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München e.V., 1st Chairman: Prof. Dr. i. R. Thomas Kirchner).

In the control group, the brief intervention is carried out purely by doctors.
