Digital employee experience

Even if the correct name has not yet been decided and the working title "New digital employee experience" sounds a little technical/obstructive. The LMU Klinikum is on the way to gradually expanding the existing intranet in 2025/2026 and replacing it to a certain extent. In future, the intranet should not just be a website for exchanging information, but should combine various functionalities to create a digital employee experience.

The ideas can be traced back to

  • two interdisciplinary Design Thinking Workshops 2024 at LMU Klinikum
  • Suggestions from the Executive Board at various strategy meetings.
The project partners "Communications & Media Unit" and "Web Requirements and Services Unit" are currently busy with planning and conceptualization. This phase should be completed by the end of the first quarter.

However, due to the various sub-project launches in 2024, some functionalities have already been determined, which will gradually go live in the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2025:

  • Enterprise Search --> Go live on 03.02.2025
  • KUM translator
  • Messenger (WhatsApp company)

The development of our DME chatbot, which is to be based on the enterprise search, will take a little longer (Q3/4 of 2025).
